Exchange Programme between Korea and ASEAN Nations |
The International College Student Exchange Programme
between ASEAN and the ROK is a project of cooperation between
the AUN and Daejeon University . With the success of the first
year programme in 2001, the number of scholarships offered for
the second year programme in 2003 was increased from 10 to 17.
They remain the same for the third to the fifth year programmes
in 2005, 2006, and 2007 respectively.
Subsequence to the accomplishment of the programme, the AUN Secretariat
in the collaboration with Daejeon University and the United Nations
Asian and Pacific Training Centre on Information and Communication
Technology for Development (UN APCICT) have considered to advance
the field of study from Social Science and Humanities to ICT for
the 2008 programme onwards.
Aims:
- To enhance the knowledge of ICT among college level students;
- To promote closer ICT collaboration between ASEAN and Korea
, and among ASEAN nations.
Activities:
Joint funded by Daejeon University and ASEAN-ROK Future Oriented
Cooperation Projects Fund, the Programme provides scholarships
for ASEAN undergraduate students in the field of ICT to study
at Daejeon University for one academic year. Besides classes,
the students will be provided with internship course and business
visit in Korean companies. The scholarships cover tuition fees,
rooms and board, meals, roundtrip tickets and living allowance.
Five batches of programme were launched from 2001-2007 with 78
ASEAN students were granted.

Now the AUN Secretariat is accepting the application
for exchange students to Daejeon University, Republic of Korea
